Just before he took a desk job in his chosen profession he decided that he didn't want a desk job and found one that requires his constant attendance of the great outdoors, at a golf course at the foot of the majestic Colorado National Monument.  He earned a second degree in turf management, supervises a small crew of greenskeepers, and coaches high school football at Palisade High School.
