Living in the heart of Palermo, Sicily's ancient Capo Market, the family is constantly enveloped in the cry and clamor of commerce; and, recently, the clatter of restoration work (scaffolding at the end of street around market gates). To Giuseppe, who grew up in this same Italian neighborhood, the hubbub is the sound of home. Hungry Planet: What the World Eats (p. 177).
