United States: An aerial drone view taken on November 10, 2017 of a section of the Coffey Park housing subdivision burned by the Tubbs Wildfire in Santa Rosa, California, a month earlier. The Tubbs Wildfire started near the town of Calistoga in Napa County, driven by high winds. Over the course of one night it burned from Napa to Sonoma County where it crossed six lanes of highway and destroyed thousands of homes, including nearly 1,500 in the Coffey Park subdivision. The Tubbs fire killed 22 people, becoming one of the deadliest fires in California history. Multi-year drought in California followed by a record heavy rainy season produced copious vegetation which dried out during the summer and fall providing abundant fuel for a perfect storm of high winds and low humidity in October.
